A thin layer of scar tissue normally forms around an implant as part of the body&#8217;s healing response. Capsular contracture develops when this capsule becomes unusually tight and firm around the implant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The condition can affect one or both breasts.
