M.D. Murat Han Türker

Hello, I am Dr Murat Han Türker, a Specialist in Paediatrics. I am currently practising at Avicenna Ataşehir Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. I graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2014 and completed my Paediatrics residency training at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine between 2016 and 2020. Following my specialisation, I worked at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital in Istanbul, at Private Can Hospital in İzmir, and later established and managed my own private paediatric clinic in Mavişehir, İzmir. Throughout my education and professional career, I had the opportunity to receive training and gain hands-on experience, particularly in the fields of Developmental Paediatrics and Social Paediatrics, under the mentorship of esteemed professors.

The birth of my daughter in 2021 further deepened my interest in child development and social paediatrics. My own journey into parenthood allowed me to better understand the profound sensitivity parents experience regarding even the smallest concerns about their children. This experience has strengthened my commitment to supporting families, recognising the vital importance of both physiological and psychological development processes. I summarise my professional approach as follows: from the moment a child is conceived, both a mother and a father also begin to grow. Supporting families through this long and delicate journey, addressing not only the health but also the developmental needs of their children from a biopsychosocial perspective, is my fundamental mission. At Avicenna Ataşehir Hospital, my focus is not only on diagnosing and treating childhood illnesses but also on providing parental education and supporting all areas of children’s development, including cognitive, motor, social-emotional, self-care, and language skills.
