Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ethem Poyrazoglu

I was born in Adana-Osmaniye 1955. I went to primary and secondary school, Mersin Primary Teachers School, and Adana Primary Teachers’ School. After graduating from Yuksek Ogretmen School Preparatory High School, I enrolled at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1972. While I was studying at the faculty, I became a military student to see my education on behalf of the Air Force Command. After graduating from the Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine in 1979, I worked as a trainee physician at GATA for one year and as a flight physician at Ankara 4th Main Jet Base Command for two years. Between 1982 and 1986, I completed my specialization in GATA ENT Department and became an ENT Specialist. After working at the Air Force Academy Hospital for one and a half years, I started to work as an assistant professor at GATA Haydarpasa Training Hospital in 1987. I was appointed an associate professor in 1992 and a professor in 2007. After retiring voluntarily in 2008, I worked in various private hospitals in Istanbul. I have been working at Atasehir Avicenna Hospital since 2018. Since I had to deal with all the diseases of the ENT branch very closely for a long time in my academic life, I am happy to know all the diseases of my branch. Since I’ve worked in private hospitals, my main specialties include septorhinoplasty procedures, ear disorders and operations, septum deviations, nasal and sinus endoscopic surgeries, and tonsillectomies.
