İlker Sarıkaya was born in Ankara in 1981. He completed his education at Cagaloglu Anatolian High School and graduated from Istanbul University Medicine College in 2005. He is fluent in English and German. Dr. Sarikaya specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Cerrahpaşa University in Istanbul through his thesis on “ Vertebral Compression Fractures, Lumbar Hernias and Spinal Fusion through Modern Spine Fusion Techniques” at the Medical Faculty Mannheim, Heidelberg University during 2009 – 2015.
Furthermore, he received training in Orthopedic surgery and medicine at the Heidelberg Medical School. Dr. Ilker Sarikaya also worked for the Autism Society during 2009-2012. Moreover, he worked as a doctor for the Turkish National Basketball Team (Under 18) in 2007. Later, he continued his specialization of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Muş State Hospital between 2011 – 2012. However, he has worked as a Pediatric Orthopedic surgeon at the Academy of Pediatric Orthopedics since 2012. Ilker Sarikaya has received the title of Associate Professor in 2019.
